Frequently Asked Questions
How long will the organizing/productivity process take?
The organizing time varies, as each project is unique in size and scope. Some clients need more time than others to make decisions. We take an objective look at your surroundings and offer solutions to achieve your overall goals and vision.
Will an organizer force me to purge my belongings?
You make all final decisions on items to keep, sell, donate, recycle or dispose of. As the decision maker you are encouraged to keep the items most valuable, useful and meaningful. However, as you come to realize what’s truly important to you, you’ll be ready to let some things go.
I am embarrassed and don’t want anyone to see the amount of clutter and disorganization in my space.
We understand it can be painful to allow a person, let alone a person you don’t know well, see your clutter and touch your belongings. Rest assured, we are non-judgmental and with compassion and professionalism we will treat you and your possessions with respect. We love what we do and want to see you succeed in taking back control. We abide by NAPO (National Association of Productivity & Organization Professionals) code of ethics.
Do I have to be present for my organizing/productivity sessions?
Yes, a professional organizer cannot make decisions for you. We facilitate and work together teaching you how to make the decision process easier.
How much does it cost?
Professional organizing services are billed by the hour and sessions of three (3) hours minimum are scheduled per visit. The investment to allow more freedom and control of your life far surpasses the cost of professional services.
What are your forms of payment?
We accept cash, checks, Zelle, Venmo
Are materials, expenses and taxes included in the hourly fee?
No, you are responsible for all additional charges. Product supplies are based on your budget and preference.
What is your cancellation policy?
We have a forty-eight (48) hour cancellation policy. When you schedule an appointment, the session(s) time is reserved exclusively for you and unavailable to anyone else. If you need to cancel, please give at least forty-eight (48) hours’ advance notice. Unless proper prior-cancellation notice is given, (other than a true emergency), the fee for the entire session(s) will be due immediately. This fee must be paid in full before the scheduling of any further appointments.
Can I get a refund if I don’t like how you organize?
Your need to keep your space, time and life working efficiently long after the project completion is extremely important to us. We work hard to understand your needs, vision and objectives in advance, then work alongside you every step of the way – providing the building blocks for you to embrace long lasting organization skills. Our in-depth process means all fees are non-refundable.
Do you charge a travel fee?
We will travel up to one (1) hour round-trip without assessing a travel fee to an organizing session. (Note: Round-trip travel over one (1) hour will be assessed in 15-minute increments.)
